Pattern: Ripple Weave socks from the Fall '06 Vogue Knitting
Be aware that the chart for the stitch pattern is wrong. The error is on row three of the chart; which should read from right to left, P2tog, (K1 tbl, P1) three times, K1 tbl, YO, K1 tbl, YO, P1, K1 tbl. It's reasonably obvious if you look at the chart because the rest of the YO symbols line up in nice, neat diagonals.
Modifications I made to the pattern include: adding a pattern repeat around the ankle (for my high instep), a short-row heel, gusset decreases after the heel to narrow the foot, and modified toe-shaping (because my feet are not very pointy).
