orange
After two purple shawls in a row, I needed to go in a different direction. I went for the anti-purple.
This is Blue Moon Laci in Oregon Red Clover Honey.

Lately, I have been craving orange. Maybe it’s in reaction to the purple shawls. Maybe it’s a more fundamental alteration. Since I’ve moved into my house, I’ve had the growing urge to paint at least a couple of my living room walls orange.
Which orange?

I cannot do the orange, but did a stong Japanese red in my dining room-15 years ago. Still love it. Go for it!

I love that color of BMFA! can't wait to see what you knit with it.
I have one wall of my sunroom orange -- one of only two walls with color in our house! I love it still (two years later) and we get a lot of compliments on it.
It's uh... well, benjamin moore approximated a glidden color for me "last tango." (that's clearly a screenshot of glidden's website and not my sunroom). :) I vote for it. :)

I get color cravings, too.
About the orange, though. I have a friend who used a nearly day-glo orange on just one wall--everything else is various neutrals and it looks fabulous.

My favorite color! :-)
That shot of all the paint chips would make delightful desktop wallpaper.

I vote Jack O Lantern. That is the Glidden color I just used in my den.

Gorgeous, gorgeous yarn. Is that @ Twisted? Some of that may need to come home with me...

I LOVE orange!!!!! It's a very happy color. AND, it's the color complement of ... PURPLE!

I truly love orange, and all the peach, mango, sunflower variations. Can't go wrong! Try doing two shades in a room. It's a nice, complex effect, cause of the way light moves around in a space.
Warm, happy, sunny. I think your color craving is deeper than just an anti-purple. It might be a hint of the direction your life is moving in...anyway, that's the way it works for me.

Wooo! Do it!
If you need any painting help let me know. I think I can manage anything above 3' in height. I'm getting better, though.

Love the orange. Please tell me if you or any of your readers have ever put together strips of knitting with cotton using a sewing machine? We have about 10 strips for a bedspread and would like to use a sewing machine to complete this project, but have never tried the sewing machine for this kind of work.

why not a a bunch of them? In our last house we painted horizontal stripes with shades of color that went from an off-white to a pretty sage-green. I think we had 4 colors separated with teeny off-white lines. It was awesome!
