Why can't I make things be the way I want them to be? I don't mean things out of my control like my mom or the state of the world. I mean things like my knitting, my blog, my house, my diet.

It seems as though one would have to be so deliberate, and I'm so haphazard.

It's amazing how much easier it will all seem after a good night's sleep. Take it from a night owl...

You're not the only one who's ever felt that way, if it helps any.

I go through periods of feeling like I have - as another blogger said - the Manure Touch (rather than the Midas Touch), because it seems that everything I touch turns to sh*t.

Fortunately if I can ride it out, it gets better after a few days.

I dunno. I feel exactly the same way. Someday I will figure it out.

I think we're all in here struggling to get things the way we want them, and sometimes (most times) it feels uphill and then you get a lovely downhill run. It helps when you realise even the most together looking swans are frantically paddling away below the water line.

I'm with Joan (says another night owl).

I know exactly how you feel. When I start feeling that way my husband always says "Kiss the kitty."

So many times I ask myself the same question. These moments come and go and I am happy to say that writing in my blog has helped me get on.

Dying to know what you think of Interweave Knitting under Eunny. I just bought it so I can follow along with you. ;o)

I feel haphazard too. Sort of like there is some manual out there that everyone else has, and I don't, and thus I can never quite feel in control of things.

Oh, so you didn't get the manual, either, Kimi? I thought I was the only one. This "making it up as I go along" has gotten really old.

I don't know what it is but there seems to be a big giant wave of "meh" out in blogland this week. I'm not predisposed to believe in "retrograde Mercury" or any of those other woo-woo explanations, but it just seems like there are times when everyone's having it rough. And right now seems like one of those times.
