mystery lace

Something I finished before I moved.

Lacy1

Lacy2

Problem is, I don't know what the yarn is (I bought it at Black Sheep last year and lost the band) and, I don't know the exact name of the pattern (I know it's from A Gathering of Lace, but I can't locate the book at the moment).

I have it draped over a circular sidetable with the center motif under glass.

Well, whatever it is, it's stunning!

it's beautiful!

I think it's Eugen Beugler's Feather and Fan shawl. That is just stunning. I wish you could remember the yarn name, I probably need some. ;-)

That piece is so stunning!! I feel exceptionally lucky to have seen it in person!! I think Lorette is correct about the pattern...I wish I could remember the yarn...Hate when that happens!! :) Fun to run into you at Twisted!!

That's exquisite! I've never seen lace yarn with a long variegation knit up-- yours looks so beautiful. ...I kind of like that you're still not 100% sure about the pattern. It just adds to the intrigue. ^__^

oh wow, picking up jaw from floor!! That is just GORGEOUS. I have been looking for a simple beginners lace pattern and am in awe of this beauty. You are such an inspiration to me Michelle (stop laughing, it's true). It was seeing your beautiful socks that made me want to conquer sock knitting, and now this lace has me totally motivated to develop lace skills.
Great to hear that Miss Molly is doing better xx

Whatever it is, you did a really nice job!

Beautiful. I think my winter knitting is going to be a lace shawl, nothing as ambitious as your lovely mystery lace.

Beautiful! It looks gorgeous on your side table - as if it was meant for that space. :)

Absolutely GORGEOUS! I love that pattern, and the yarn is just perfect for it! You did a fabulous job...

It's beautiful -- I've always admired that design from Gathering of Lace. It's gorgeous with those waves of color.

A work of art. The colourway is simply beautiful.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Oh WOW. I've never seen such a beautiful variegated circular shawl! Whatever that yarn is, it's fantastic. The effect is almost like a ripply Icelandic or Shetland shawl... you know the kind I mean, done in natural sheep colors?

Wow, that is stunning! The colors really bring out the pattern.
