moving day
#1 reason why this move sucks

I've been hauling stuff to the house all week. It's been slow going on this end because three loaded trips up these stairs, and I'm ready to lie down. Unloading on the other end seems trivially easy.
I have help lined up for today and movers coming to shift the big stuff. Tonight will be the first night in my very own house.
ETA: Just to be clear, these are the steps at the apartment I'm moving out off. I rented a lovely view for a couple of years. Now, no view; but no stairs either.

Ouch. That's a heck of a lot of exercise. Goes without saying, but I have to anyway-- be careful. Do you have a handtruck?

Just think of the perky derriere you'll have six months from now!

From that vantage point, it looks as if, once you get there, you have a great view! :)

How many trips up and down just to move the yarn stash, that's what I want to know!!

Wow. That's quite the hike. I had a friend who moved from a 3rd story walk-up to a fourth story walk-up once. She hired movers to do the entire thing, and boy, were they wishing for an elevator.
