this too shall pass
By this time next week, it will all be over. My grant will be submitted, or it won't. I will be a homeowner, or I won't. Either way, those will be two things I don't have to worry about for at least a couple weeks (house) or months (grant).
Some people think I should be even more stressed than I am, doing these two things at the same time. Actually, in an odd way, that may make it a bit easier. About the time I'm on the verge of totally freaking out about one of the them, something happens with the other that completely distracts me. On the whole though, I'd say writing the grant is worse.
Yeah, I'm knitting. No, no pictures. Someday.
Finally, last year I showed off the snazzy protective vinyl skin I got for my iPod from GelaSkins. As a satisfied customer, I am pleased to tell you that they are having a 15%-off sale until the end of June. The coupon code at checkout is "summerskins". I think my laptop may be getting some sprucing up.

Best of luck on both the grant and the house.
Heh, I never thought of it that way, but I can see why it works, with one thing distracting from the other.

Thanks for the coupon code! I'd been wanting some sort of cover/protection for my ipod, and these look so cool! Mine is on the way....

It's good to see you checking back in. I've missed your posts. Good luck with your proposal writing and house-buying. I don't have any experience with the latter, but I've done my fair share of grant proposal writing.

Best of luck everything M! Your house will go well, the grant will go well, and life will fall back into place where it's meant to be! Things happen like this to make us stronger - I am convinced of it! Remember, call if you need help moving!

Wish I had known you were writing a grant. My mother-in-law is a grant writer and quite talented at it, from what I hear. She would've gladly helped (if needed).
