dotty love

Dotty

Here is another FO from the quiet time.

I fell in love with this kelp! pattern when I saw it on the Craft: magazine blog. My love grew when I discovered that it was made with less than $20 of KnitPicks yarn. It was fun and distracting to knit. And it was quick too; I finished it in a weekend.

Unfortunately, the picture above is of the only time that Molly sat in it of her own free will. In usual perverse fashion, she now shuns it. I'm not too disappointed, she shifts her favorite places every couple of months. Its time will come.

ah, there she is, the beautiful Molly! love the new bed - perverse wee creatures aren't they? but as you say, it's time will come!

I have loved that bed from the instant I saw it; if I thought my cat Leena would spend more than eight seconds in it, I would already have made one. Yours looks lovely!

This is cute! I got a brand new kitty yesterday! Thanks for pointing out this pattern!!!!

Wow. Great colors. Unfortunately for me, I too have given up on designating cat resting places. The beasts always find some shabby cardboard box that they prefer.

Your cat looks adorable in the bed! Mine came around after awhile, and I'm always surprised at how much they actually sleep in it.

Did you find the pattern easy to follow? I'd love to hear any feedback you have on it - yours is the first finished dotty I've seen out on the internet. I'm especially interested on the decrease instructions and whether they felted to a flat bottom.

Wow, that is lovely! It looks like the sides are high enough that if it turns out to be completely spurned as a bed, you could wash it and use it for a yarn basket.

What a lovely cat bed. Something I wouldn't be embarrassed for company to see. I think I'm going to have to put this on my knitting list.

Molly is so pretty! I love the way the kitty bed turned out. Maybe she'll find her way to it again?

Oooh I must try this pattern ... there are six felines prowling around this house so surely one of them will want to sleep in it ....

That's exactly how cats are, and it's maddening. ;-)

It's lovely, with or without the kitty!

Wow, it turned out awesome. I must knit this!

You are a major enabler! I just made a Knit Picks purchase and need to knit this right away!

That's a cute pattern, I love the dots.
Ha, it reminds me of my cat. She'd probably sleep on the couch instead of a cat bed if I made her one.

Molly is adorable! Love the bed! I have a snowball's chance in you know where that any of our three kitties would use a felted bed, and Gibson's allergic to wool to boot...go figure his being adopted by me! I bet I could find another use for that cat bed, then they would certainly try to sleep in it! LOL!
