f*cking fancy rib

The lower border and collar of linty oatmeal are knit in a stitch dubbed Fancy Rib. I despise it.

You may despise it, but it is very beautiful!! Maybe it's one of those things, that someday you'll look back and laugh?!

My computer doesn't seem to like it much either. It won't show me the picture. I'll try again later. Maybe I can sneak up on it.

I am living my own personal fancy rib hell, as well. Except for my back panel and sleeves are nothing BUT fancy rib. Ack! An entire sweater of fancy rib! That's what I've chosen to knit. Not such a smart one, am I?

Ahh, there it is. Well, it's pretty to look at even if it's difficult to knit. The sweater is really looking more and more beautiful with every photo.

I'm trying to master this fancy rib stitch. Just don't get it from the instructions in the panel. Is there a picture anywhere showing you how to do the stitch? Or can anyone suggest a good substitute?
