home improvement
laying a new foundation
getting my head screwed on straight
pruning the deadwood
realigning my priorities
propping up my ego
rebuilding my self-esteem
Maybe I should play some self-esteem games

You know, it sounds kinda crazy to me, but I've been having a really bad day... like a cry-at-work-in-front-of-everybody bad day...and I played that grow your chi game, and the more I play that stupid game, the better I feel. HONESTLY. so wierd.

Sounds like you're in a hard place. Hang in there and try not to isolate yourself. I look forward to you returning to your blog. Changing things in our lives is a hard process, but so worthwhile in the end.

Maybe you need a change of scenery. Take the metro over to Ballston sometime and I'll treat you to lunch.

Hi! I think we met tonight at the knitting meetup?! You had the amazing cotton sweater with the wild sleeves... I had the Salt Peanuts (Ugh. Why does this sound like a "close encounters" ad?)
I don't know a soul in town and I can totally appreciate needing an esteem boost... but really, with the amazing stash organization, and BEAUTIFUL colors in that sweater? That is two things right there about you I already appreciate! :)
Anyway, if you ever want to "rogue" up a sit and knit, lemme know!

Wow! This is one blog where I surely didn't expect to see this. I guess these issues really are universal. But I'm with Chelsea, if I could knit the stuff I've seen on this site and some others, I wouldn't really have any worries! :)
Anticipating your return.

Thinking of you. Hope to hear from you again soon.
Sometimes deadwood is just dormant.

We've meet a couple of times at the meet-ups and I wanted to invite you to a knitting circle I'll be having at my house Sunday, June 6th from 2-5. Please let me know if you would like to come and I'll send you directions.
